Little hidden gem. Didn't know it was there until my Mom suggested we drop in for lunch. I walked in & was transported straight back to my childhood. Grocery shelves lined with so many familiar brands & smells from the kitchen today reminded me of my Grannies house. Obviously very popular with locals & ex-pats as it was packed. The lovely young lady behind the counter was very competent & let us know how the wait for food was. It was worth the wait. Delicious, authentic South African fair. We will be back because I have to try the Peppermint crisp tart.

We stopped off at this quirky African themed restaurant for lunch the other day. The menu was varied and I had the burger which was nice and juciy with a tasty sauce and good bread bun. The decor had a nice rustic feel and there is a small shop area selling what I think were food products from South Africa, I bought some brave fart chilli sauce out of sheer curiosity and it turned out to be a good tasty sauce for my food at home. We will be back soon.
First time visiting on high recommendation from our friend. We came here with our young son and were greeted by friendly smiles and warmth. They were very accommodating for us with highchairs available and a lovely kids menu to choose from. They even brought out a large stuffed Pooh Bear for our son Our meals were all delicious and you could tell they were homemade and prepared with care. Very much enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be visiting again. Thank you

It's like a South African experience to visit this cafe. The Afrikaner owner has been in Perth for 7 years and still has his strong accent. He is very friendly and welcoming and takes particular pleasure in explaining his chilli sauces made in the Kitchen and available for sale. They are delicious. There is a variety of South African grocery items for sale including 5 Roses tea. Great menu selections. A variety of biltong. We were treated to some cooked sisters to sample the chilli sauces. Thoroughly recommend this cafe.
We come here almost every week and we are never disappointed. The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff are friendly and service is excellent. Always a friendly smile and chat. We always have a good laugh. Kalahari Wanneroo is a home away from home. The perfect place for friends to meet and to make new friends.
Great little Cafe for a catch up with friends. A bite to eat and chat. Staff are lovely, friendly and polite. Also sell a few gourmet treats to take home. Recommend a visit.
